Chapter Abelardo Díaz Alfaro from Lakeland, Florida, celebrates their induction ceremony

George Jenkins High School had its Spanish Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, April 10th. They celebrated their fabulous officers and members. Seniors received their cords and pins.  New members received their SHS certificates. During the celebration, they honored their Seniors who now begin a new journey, and celebrated their new members who will and are already making a difference at the school and helping our community. This year, the Spanish Honor Society was able to make more than 51 Thanksgiving Baskets for families in need at Oscar Pope Elementary, Phillip O’Brien Elementary, Scott Lake Elementary, and of course George Jenkins High School. On top of that, they were able to send more than 5 boxes of food items to the NOE Salud, which is an organization that provides food boxes to the homeless and families in need. Sponsor Taina Corcelles says, "I am moved and extremely proud by the kind heart of George Jenkins High School and the Spanish Honor Society members.  ¡Felicitaciones a todos!!"
